BATTLE OF THE BRANDS.

Battle of brands is an intense competition among several brands from same product category for the retailer's limited shelf space and for the market share. We grouped in teams of two and competed against our classmates. We were tasked with creating an athletic shoe targeted toward a specific audience. We designed a brand name, logo, motto/slogan, print advertisement, radio advertisement, and an advertorial.

PROJECT EX/RESTORATION PROJECT.

Project Ex and the Restoration Project were designed to utilize the tools in Photoshop used to restore photos and remove people from photos. The photo I chose for Project Ex was of my great grandmother and her first husband, taken in 1917. I removed her husband from the photo and fixed the background. I chose a picture of my grandfather, taken in 1951, for the Restoration Project. I straightened the picture, took out wear and tear lines, and brightened it.

ROTARY CONSULTATIONS.

In my Portfolio Campaigns class, I had the opportunity to be a PR Consultant for North Alabama Rotary Clubs. My group created examples of social media posts that would help Rotary and Rotaract Clubs in North Alabama gain members and explain what Rotary members did.

I chose to put on a concert in honor of the Mitchell-West Center for Social Inclusion at the University of North Alabama.

FREE PROJECTS.

I have been able to learn enough about Illustrator and Indesign to make a few projects on my own. The first set of projects include a billboard design, flyer, calendar, brochure, and a COVID warning message for my internship at Highland Park Baptist Church. I also created an invitation, save the date, party favor tags, and a change of plans letter for my parents’ 25th anniversary this year.
